Listening to Red’s new album, Gone for probably the tenth time or so on Amazon prime music. Still want the physical copy but I love this album. I don’t know yet, if it’s their best work but either way, it’s awesome. It opens with my favorite track – Step Inside, the violence and it’s just right in your face. I love it. The whole album has their signature sound that so many of us have grown to love. Some of it is almost haunting and dark with the sound but that’s a cool sound to me. They remind me a little of the secular band from around 2000, Stabbing Westward. If you’re a fan of Red, then you must have this album. If you’re new Red, give them a try. They’re not a heavy, heavy metal. Their lyrics are powerful and well thought out. As soon as I get the hard copy, I’ll quote some of the lyrics. But right now, they are definitely in the running for album of the year. I can’t find a bad track on the album. Take the time to pick up the deluxe version.
